System Administrator (Sys Admin)

Job Description: As a System Administrator at Maison du Web, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure the seamless operation of our business-critical systems. You will primarily focus on managing and supporting the key technologies that underpin our operations, including php(Laravel), Redmine, Plesk, Hestia, monitoring tools, MariaDB, and Nginx.

Responsibilities: 

1. Administration of Laravel Applications: Manage and maintain our Laravel-based applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

 2. Redmine and Project Management Support: Provide support for Redmine, our project management tool, including user management, issue tracking, and customization as needed.

 3. Plesk and Hestia Administration: Handle administration tasks for Plesk and Hestia control panels, including server provisioning, domain management, and email configuration.

 4. Monitoring and Alerting: Set up and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively detect and address issues with our systems and services.

 5. Database Management: Manage and optimize our MariaDB databases to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and backup of data.

 6. Web Server Configuration: Configure and optimize Nginx web server settings for optimal performance and security.

 7. Hardware and Networking Support: Provide support for hardware infrastructure and networking equipment in our offices, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

 8. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to safeguard our systems and data, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience in system administration, preferably in a similar technology stack environment.
• Strong proficiency in managing php applications, Redmine, Plesk, Hestia, MariaDB, Nginx, and monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with hardware infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of system reliability and security.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
